Exploring just energy transitions
in a changing climate

We are a policy-engaged research group based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We use energy and environmental data, systems modeling, and policy analysis to create equitable and inclusive solutions to the climate crisis.

Local to global science for climate action

We work on climate policy questions across scales and develop tools to link global climate goals with state and local action. We're excited to build new research and community partnerships both globally and locally, especially with underserved communities here in Wisconsin. Our work focuses on quantifying and mapping the impacts of fossil fuel use and designing local strategies for phasing out fossil fuels in electricity and buildings.
